The beautiful region of Ardèche

At the gateway to Provence, the Cevennes and the Massif Central, the Ardeche, a place of culture, art and heritage in the heart of a preserved nature, offers itself to you. The charm of the region is expressed through villages, some of which are classified among the most beautiful in France, such as Balazuc, 25 minutes away, or La Beaume, nestled at the foot of limestone cliffs, or Aiguèze, which proudly dominates the Ardèche Gorges. In the bend of these villages, castles, most of them medieval, are scattered in this fabulous landscape, the castle of Voguë, Boulogne or Rochefort are beautiful examples... It is in this unique environment that the preserved site of the Gorges de l'Ardèche classified as a "natural reserve" offers landscapes that are both grandiose and wild. It is up to you to discover them on foot by taking a 35 km marked out itinerary between scrubland and oaks or by canoe or kayak. Over time, masterpieces of nature have been created... Open your eyes wide, the show is guaranteed with the Pont d'Arc and its 66 m height, the Grotte Chauvet, the Aven d'Orgnac....  
Near our hotel, take the time to visit the fortified village of Saint-Jean-le-Centenier, nicknamed Saint-Jean-le-Noir, color evoking the basalt stones used in the construction of its houses. From the village, let yourself be tempted by an atypical ride through the countryside between viaducts and vineyards with the velorail and its 11 km circuit. Only 2.5 km away, the Balmes de Montbrun site will attract your curiosity with its troglodytic village built in an ancient volcanic crater. For the family, there is no shortage of activities with, among others, the water park in Villeneuve-de-Berg located 10 minutes from our hotel or the animal park in Lussas 5.3 km away.
